"Out of the four complaints I sent, a few have been redressed. A complaint regarding roads has been solved, while that of garbage dumped at Sector 70-71 road has not been cleared yet. It is good to see the initiative, but it is not yet up to the mark," said, Kuljit Singh Bedi, a resident of Phase 3B2.
"I had sent three complaints on December 7 but only one of them has been redressed till now. The road in front of my house was dug up for some sewage work, but has not been relaid," said wing commander S S Likhari (retd), a resident of Phase 6. Amit Sharma, a resident of Phase V, who sent a complaint regarding the bad condition of a road in Phase 5, said the road was re-carpeted before specified time given to redress the complaint.
Uma Shankar Gupta, commissioner, MC, Mohali, said the garbage problem at the Sector-70/71 road would take a few days to be solved. "We are looking for a new dumping ground," he said. Gupta further added that some problems regarding roads couldn't be redressed as carpeting work could not be carried out now. "My personal assistant randomly picked some numbers of complainants and called them up to check whether they were satisfied or not. Except two complaints regarding sewage problem, all were satisfied," said the commissioner.
